FTAM and OTS X.25
Good day all,
I am Configuring a FTAM Responder over OTS and X.25 and I have a few Questions:
In CLNS Over X.25 What does the local address NSAP apply too? is this the NSAP the Iniator will use to connect ot the Responder?
My X.25 address = 19231045105
The DTE address is 0302
There are 2 Remote applications on the Device we need to communicate with XXX and XXX.
The Server which runs openFT has the following config (please see attachment) openft.txt) I am not setting up a RFC10006 connection as it is in openFT and would like to know where these fileds correspond to the FTAM Configuration on HP?
We need to use $FJAM where do we input this into on the HP Machine?
Under My responder settings it mentions Subaddress next to interface where would i find this value?
And under my responder setings it mentions Alias is the my ALias and if it the hostname do i set ip up as it is in local_app or do i set it to the Unix hostname?
Acoding to the atachment what would my T sel S Sel and Presetation Sel be? if using $FJAM? or how would i find this info out?
Is FTAM and OTS dependant on the programmatic access name to succesfully receive connections? from iniator?
Also if you ca npoint me to some additional resources it will be greatly appreciated. Hop ihave included enough info and thanks for your assistance
Regards
Quentin

Re: FTAM and OTS X.25
Hi Quentin,
I am configuring FTAM on top of ethernet not x25. But I can say, regarding Alias name, it should be the unix_host( myhostname of HP box).
And pls check this doc:
HP 9000 Networking
Installing and Administering
OSI Transport Services.
It is very helpful.
Thanks,
Richard
