Hi All
We are busy putting together a system for a new customer who want to communicate with some ancient (relative) switches using FTAM. Currently The have an Alpha Server running Tru64 currently using FTAM to communicate with the switches through a X25 interfaces.
We want to replace this servers with an rx3600 and we have orderred J2793B cards to accomodate this. My question is what software do I order with this. The FTAM/9000(B1033B) software has been discontinued and being a total X25 novice I'm not sure if any other software would be required, for example the OSI transport Service (OTS) and whether any of this is even available on IA64 or for HP-UX 11.23.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Regards
Andrew Y

Solution
Andrew,
Have you see this letter:
http://h20229.www2.hp.com/solutions/encore/ftam_customer_letter.pdf?jumpid=reg_R1002_USEN
AFAIK FTAM/9000 does require OTS/9000 to function - also there was a version for Integrity - E.08.01, but in light of the note above, I wonder if you can still order it (it is still on the latest CPL though)

Re: FTAM pre-requisites
Hi.
I had already read the letter.
I have tried to order it. My friendly sales rep is waiting for the US office to wake up. Apparently if you have existing license you can order more, but you cannot order new. I don't know if that now makes it abandonware (mischievous grin). Of course setting this up is filling me with much fear and trepidation.
At least I was right in my guessing as to what to order.
Thanks for your help.
