I am looking for a ftp client, allowing me to access the ftp sites of the internet using a prox server to overcome our firewall.
It should be configurable just as all internet browsers are. I want to use a commanline interface because the graphics support for our server is poor.

Solution
Hi,
You can try to connect to you proxy with
your client :
ftp proxy
You may have a prompt like "get user@destination" for example... If you want to connect to ftp.lip6.fr for example reply
ftp@ftp.lip6.fr
And after you can use your ftp like everytime.
I think you just need to use PASSIVE MODE.
Bye,
Herve
