FTP Date Month Format Problem when connect Win XP to HP-UX Server

FTP Date Month Format Problem when connect Win XP to HP-UX Server

When I start a FTP via Win XP commandline
and do a connect to our HP-UX Fileserver
then cd to dir /home/bahrt and do a dir, then
the Month description at March (in German) is
not "M??rz" but "M??rz". How can I change this?

Hi

The Xp has a slightly different font from the look of it.

Since it is ok when you ll on the UX box ask
microsoft is my opinion.

I wonder if it would work better if you told it to use binary mode instead of ASCII? I'm thinking the a umlaut character is outside the usual range so perhaps something gets messed up in the transfer.
