FTP Permission
Hi folks... :)
I have HPUX 10.20 and I configured ftp service for my users. When the users, via FTP, access my server they can do something like:
ftp> cd ..
or
ftp> cd /etc/
and the cd commands are accept... The question is: How can I configure FTP Service to deny access to another directory different of their directory (/home/{username}, for example) and below directories?

Re: FTP Permission
Hi
I believe/think the login used when ftping to a server dicatates where the user can get to thus restricting a login is where I would start.
cheers
John

Re: FTP Permission
There are a lot of threads that talked about how to restrict in such manner for ftp-user by configuring the ftpaccess file to define restriction such as "cd" desination. The ftpaccess feature is only available on 11.x onwards.
# man ftpaccess
===> on an 11.x system
Since you're on 10.20, I'm not sure if you are able to do this.
Anyway look at these threads ..

It may/maynot help at all.
