ftpd banner

Hi,

can anybody tell me how to change the welcome message for a ftp connection.
I have looked at the ftpd man page but no options found.
I know the telnetd has the option -b
Is the any equivalent for ftpd ?

Andrew,

NCftp allows for a different Banner to be displayed. However I am unable to locate any banner(s) for the ftpd as supplied.

Not available on HP-UX 10.20 but is part of HP-UX 11.X
with PHNE_20714 (wu-ftpd)

.. /etc/ftpd/ftpaccess .. just update the line for:
message /welcome.msg login <<-- need to put in path where message is.
