ftpd
Hi,
I need use on HP 10.20 - ftp secure connection.
I've installed wu_ftpd 2.61. but after changes in inetd.conf and restarting I still get message
"421 Service not available, remote server has closed connection".
Syslog has information "exiting on signal 6".
Do you have anybody this or similar error ?
Thanks in advance
Radim

Re: ftpd
Hi!
My suggestions:
1. Run /opt/wu_ftpd/ckconfig
script to check configuration, which files are missing...
2. Use the -d and -v options with ftpd.
3. Load the trace (for 10.20)
and tusc for (11.00) and trace systems calls, and watch what inetd and ftpd does.
4. Try the wu-ftpd faq ...
Which HPUX ?
What is the syslog entry?

Re: ftpd
Hi Pal,
I had done all what you wrote me except trace, since I wrote to forum.
But today morning ftp has started itself :-)
At the moment I can test and configure it finally.
Thanks for your fast response.
