I would like to install gcc compiler on HP-UX 11.00, could anyone tell me if it is supported and shipped by HP or would I have to go to GNU and install it from there?

Re: Gcc Compiler Install
You are better off with SD-UX depots versus source code, but it can be done either way.
You might want to use swcopy to create a patch depot out of all the dependencies and then you can do the install with one command line.
swinstall -s /tmp/patch.depot \*

but could not find any perl binaries/source. What is the best was to install perl as I came across some doco suggesting www.perl.com is not recommended.
Many thanks

Re: Gcc Compiler Install
AFAIK, perl by default comes with the HP UX application CD's. you should be able to find them there. if not, use porting archive. link below.
