GDB version (GNU Debugger)

Hi to everyone.I have some question with regards to GDB. How should i know if the GDB software installed in one system is 64bit or 32bit. Or what is the command. See below for some reference.

O.S= HPUX 11.11
Model = 9000/800

# gdb -version
HP gdb 3.3 for PA-RISC 1.1 or 2.0 (narrow), HP-UX 11.00.
Copyright 1986 - 2001 Free Software Foundation, Inc.
Hewlett-Packard Wildebeest 3.3 (based on GDB) is covered by the
GNU General Public License. Type "show copying" to see the conditions to
change it and/or distribute copies. Type "show warranty" for warranty/support.

Re: GDB version (GNU Debugger)

The gdb you have will work for both 32 and 64 bit. If 64 bit, it will invoke gdb64.

On IPF, there is only a 64 bit debugger that will work for both 32 and 64 bit.

Version 3.3 is obsolete. The latest is 5.5:
