How to check that?
direct connections (telnet ssh rlogin etc)
# who -uH
How to find how many ports are open on the system?
# netstat -an
Or you can use lsof, if you do not have lsof installed, you can download it from the link.
# lsof -i tcp
# lsof -i udp
http://hpux.connect.org.uk/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.80/
