General Question on HP-UX 11i

Hi

I am to write an application in Java on HP-UX 11i OS. This application is to use gnupg (the open source gpg for encryption/decryption) and the secured ftp library (.jar files).

I want to find out if any one had ever worked on these stuff (gnupg/ftp) in java on HP-UX 11i. If yes please share your ideas ?

I have used these in Windows using Java and it works well, but I am not sure about it on Hp-UX 11i.

Can anyone give me some idea how to go about it ?

Also I don't have HP-UX 11i OS . So where do I find it ?

Please give me a head start.
Thanks

Re: General Question on HP-UX 11i

I can't help you with the java stuff, but HPUX is not readily downloadable, you must have the CD's. Besides, you also need a system with which to put it on. You can't install it on a PC like you can with linux.

Re: General Question on HP-UX 11i

To adequately test your application you will need an HP-UX box.

Workstations are quite affordable.

Your java code if it meets the standard set y Sun should port and run very nicely. That is supposedly the point of java. Write once, run on many platforms.
