getkinfo yields SIGSEGV and returns 139 when ran from 3rd party app

From a 3rd party support platfrom application, I'm seeing a script that calls getkinfo fail as described above.

We've dug into the required patches on the build environment as well as the client system running the script, and all are current.

Anyone else seen a similar problem?
