Getting the emsagent to send SNMP traps.
I'm configuring Resource Monitors using EMS on a L-class. I need to raise traps but can't see them.
To test this I've configured the resource monitor to send a trap at every interval of 5 minutes. I've written to the snmpd.conf file to include the trap destination fields and the community as public.
However I don't see any traps coming from the snmpd (nettl shows this). I don't see any activity at all in /etc/opt/resmon/logs/emsagent.log or in /var/admin/snmpd.log.
Is there something I haven't thought about?
Also the details of put out by monconfig are different to that held in EMS GUI. Is this a problem. monconfig shows monitoring enabled.
