Glance+
Hello experts,
I would like to know how to extend the trial period of evaluation software that were installed on our server, namely Glance and Measureware Perfview.
Also, if this is not possible, how do i remove it? I can see processes still running...
Thank you for a reply.
Best regards
Yogeeraj

Re: Glance+
Glance+ isn't too expencinve so I would suggest considder buying it. I belive MeasurWare comes with Glance Plus PACK. PerfView is a separate product that is rather expensive but verry good for performance analysis.
You could contact your HP-SW supplyer for the prices.
As for removing theproducts that can be done with swremove.
Regards,
Trond

Re: Glance+
I'm not sure if you can extend the licence. Your best bet would be to speak to your HP sales rep, licencing department rep or account manager. I think the licence is built in and only runs for 3 months. There's obviously a hidden file somewhere that dictates this. I doubt HP will tell you or you'll never buy the product!
If you can't get it extended then the best thing is to shut it down. I think /sbin/init.d/pv stop will shut it down.
To remove it run swremove and select it from the list, goto actions, remove etc.
HTH
Dave.
