Hi,
I'm installing a Golden Image on new server we just got. The Golden Image is from an
L-3000 and is being installed onto an
L-2000. It got as far as installing software and downloading the mini-system and it's been there for the last 5 hours. The last thing in the client logfile from the install was that it was Processing the Archive Source.
I just got a message from the installation saying that the client that I'm installing this on, may be hung. Is this a "false negative" message that I'm getting or is there something that I need to do to stop the install because it is hung?

Solution
On the Ignite server check this:
netstat -i 2
Change the 2 to the number in the lan interface. lan2 is 2
If there is little or no activity you can stop the install as follows:
On the server /opt/ignite/bin/ignite
Click on or select the transfer in process and action stop.
To diagnose and fix:
Check Ignite Version. If its older and you have installed the pax patch you may have entered the situation I was in in February.
the pax patch lets you archive files up to 8 GB. The pax_iux with older versions of Ignite(3.x) cant UNPACK fils bigger than 2 GB.
The correction is to upgrade Ignite, redo the golden image or back out the pax patch and redo the golden image.
Good Luck,
SEP
