Graphic ftp not working with restricted mode (ftponly)
When setting up an ftponly user (no telnet), the user -using command line ftp (dos)- is restricted to its home directory and working normaly with ftp commands, but when using a graphic ftp tool (like FTP Expert 3), the same user is unable to see any directories or files in its home directory.
Any ideas ? Thanks a lot.
Mouad .

Re: Graphic ftp not working with restricted mode (ftponly)
It could be a problem with graphical client. Check to show all files, if any.

Re: Graphic ftp not working with restricted mode (ftponly)
Congrats, you have found an ftp client worse than the one that ships with windows.
I would suggest another tool. Some ftp clients react badly to chroot environment.

Re: Graphic ftp not working with restricted mode (ftponly)
I'm using filezilla currently to connect ftp restricted accounts, and had no issue with that.

Re: Graphic ftp not working with restricted mode (ftponly)
if with "show all files" you mean show hidden files (starting with '.' char), this doesn't depend on client but on server configuration and behavior.
