Graphics Card Detection
Hi,
I was experiencing random, intermittent flashing of the display on a HP-UX 10.20 workstation. I decided to change the location of the graphics card to a new slot. I powered up the machine and it doesn't detect any graphics device, which the monitor confirms this. I am able to telnet in to the machine.
Do I have to specify the new hardware path or location? If so where can I do this?
Thanks.

Re: Graphics Card Detection
Are you unable to telnet into the machine because you couldn't before, or did you also move a lan card?
Is the monitor also the console?

Re: Graphics Card Detection
It may have been that the card fingers needed cleaning.
Remove and insert the card several times, but put it back in the original slot.
Also check the cable connections, as they may have been loose.
