Hi,
I would like increase the groups max for a user.
How can I do that ?
The user have 22 groups but the system see 20 groups.(HP 11.11)

Solution
Well Gerald, prepare to be disappointed. Do a getconf NGROUPS_MAX and you will see that 20 is the hard-coded limit. The limit is defined in /usr/include/limits.h but don't bother to change it there because the kernel won't have a clue that you have changed it.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

HP might finally do something about this small, artifical limit. My understanding was they were relucant to do this due to historical reasons and compatibility issues. Howerver, in today's age of consolidations this needs to be raised.
It might be to increase the limit, or to allow a user to switch between groups of groups.
