grpck error - Null login name
Hello,
The grpck command often produces a "Null login name" error against a number of groups. I initially thought that this indicated groups with no members, but a scan of group memberships on each passwd file entry has proven this wrong. This appears to be a feature of 10.20 servers only. Adding a user as a secondary member of these groups seems to "rectify" this problem, but this hardly seems like a valid - or secure - solution. Is this simply a 10.20 quirk that can be ignored or is it an issue and, if so, any ideas on how to resolve this?

Re: grpck error - Null login name
Hi,
I believe this was fixed in 11.0. I seem to recall logging a very similar defect for this a few years back, it wasn't fixed as it was very low severity. Of course 10.20 is no longer supported.
regards,
Darren.

Calm down. It's only ones and zeros...
