I am trying to retrieve a hardware list of a hpux server by part number (if possible), but the /opt/ignite/bin/print_manifest don't gives me what I require.
e.g.
A5168A 3 N-Class Processor Support Module
A4923A 6 1024MB High Density SyncDRAM Memory Mod
can someone help?
Best regards

Re: Hardware List
The machine does not really keep track of part numbers. You can find some information via 'ioscan', but that will not have everything you need.

Re: Hardware List
Sometimes to list by part number what came inside your box is a bit difficult becuase HP deliver those boxes depending on the specification that people requested.
Sometimes HP have databases with most of the hardware that they originally ship to you, this is found with the serial number of the server.
You might want to give a call to HP hardware support and for sure they will be able to help you out.
Regards,
Jaime.

Solutiontwo ways you could try, but wont give you all you want but some of it.
1x login to the gsp and I'm sure there is a command to retreive the FRU information with part numbers.
2x if you are upto date with the diagnostics then you can run this command
#echo "selclass qualifier system;info;wait;infolog" ├В┬ж cstm
This should give you the all the system info and fru part numbers. memory cards and carriers and io cards and main system board part numbers
