Re: Harwware upgrade
The only way to do this is create an ignite tape ( image) and restore it.

Re: Harwware upgrade
If the vg contains all 18gb hard disks and you are trying to upgrade it to 72GB then there would be constraints with MAX_PE value of the VG.
The MAX_PE value by default is allocated a value corresponding to the largest sized hard disk in the VG.
If that is the case then you need to re-create the VG.

Re: Harwware upgrade
I am afraid 73 GB is the limit:
http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/rackoptimized/rp5400series/infolibrary/pdfs/5400-whitepaper.pdf
The L class is replaced by the rp5400 class.

Re: Harwware upgrade
internal storageâ The rp5400 ( L-Class )series supports up to four internal hot-plug disk drives, which can be
either half-height or low-profile form factors. Current disk offerings include 18, 36, and 73GB
Ultra160 disk drives. The maximum internal storage is 292GB, via four 73GB drives.
