Re: Hello Forums Community!

Hello Dan,

just another welcome!

To make an easy, early, but big impression as the new
"boss" you could have some changes be done:
- make that reply form BIGGER - at least add more lines
to it (or am I the only one with a resolution of more
than 1024x768 pixels?)
- add some more areas for easier navigation - just
guessing from my experience with hp's customers
you could add
* "X-Windows" for all those font-problems
* "DCE" for you still sell it and customers from lots of
places on the globe are longing for it (e.g. austria,
germany, india, and switzerland - to enumerate
only those I know from personal experience)
* "trusted systems" seem to make a bigger part
of the general "hp-ux"!
* separate areas for the most active OpenView
applications (not only NNM and OVO)

I have not heard any feedback from the "loyal
customers discussion" in Q1 (wasn't it february?),
hence I am addressing it right now :-)

Oh, and have a little patience with us - sometimes
we seem to be, hmm, over-enthusiastic ;-)

Good luck,
Wodisch

Re: Hello Forums Community!

X-windows could come under the remit of the Workstation hp-ux section I guess .... but I'd appreciate a separate sub-section & I know a lot of the US Graphics support guys cruise around here , know far more than I and would find it easy not to have to filter through all the other hpux stuff to find their specialist areas

And DCE does need a home too !

As to mailing lists...... each to their own
