Help after installing a corrupt GOLD bundle
Hi Everyone,
I'm looking for some help w/the following:
I believe this is due to a incomplete GOLD Bundle for 11.11 I download and attempted to
install. I am redownloading w/a ftp client that is more reliable, but was curious if
there is a workaround in the interim.
when entering sam I get the following:
Error (atk570)
A SAM internal error has occurred. Check the SAM log file using the
Options menu or the /usr/sam/bin/samlog_viewer command for more
details on the failure. Contact an HP support representative and
provide them with the contents of the log file (/var/sam/log/samlog)
so that an appropriate resolution to this problem can be provided.
Then when I look at the samlog here is the error I am getting:
Wed Mar 29 10:16:55 2006 Entering SAM area "System Administration Manager (at
k570)".
@!@8@1143645415@0
Entering Task Manager with task FAL_IS_MUL_SAMS.

eville/intermed/arch_scan.C:721] was not found in the internal error table.^AL
o
cation: arch_err_handler.C:256^AError Code: 5000
#
The samlog_viewer displays the following:
SAM Log Viewer (atk570) (1)

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Help after installing a corrupt GOLD bundle
Jose,
Look at the install log for the GOLD bundle under "/var/adm/sw/swagent.log" for errors and post them here. Also provide information on the server and OS type.
thanks!

Re: Help after installing a corrupt GOLD bundle
Shalom,
I would advise that you in the future make sure that this patch download is complete.
You should be able to simply reinstall the patch and let the system reboot and everything is okay.

Re: Help after installing a corrupt GOLD bundle
I appreciate your help gentlemen. I did indeed reapply the GOLD bundle and we are good to go.
