Re: Help me to see this error message
Also, take my advice, do not post your IP address.
Upgrade your Diagnostic Tools with the latest version from here:
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=B6191AAE
Moreover, it'll be more helpful if you install and enable ISEE, download it from here:
http://software.hp.com/portal/swdepot/displayProductInfo.do?productNumber=U2512AA
Hope this help

Re: Help me to see this error message
This message quite frequently is caused by a version incompatablity between the STM/EMS software & the GSP firmware level. Have you recently applied patches that would have upgraded STM and/or EMS?
Note the following:
/Quote
check the service
processor firmware revision using the service processor command "HE".
If the service processor firmware version is less than A.01.09,
schedule an update of the service processor firmware to version
A.01.09 or a more recent version to prevent a reoccurrence of this

/EndQuote
You need to upgrade the GSP version & probably the PDC firmware as well.

Jeff

SolutionThis problem will be fixed by GSP firmware upgrade. Upgrade the firmware to A.01.12.
You can download the same from http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PF_CPREGSPA0112&context=firmware:cpu
It is also a good Idea to upgrade the PDC firmware of the system to 43.50(HP9000-A500)
http://www4.itrc.hp.com/service/patch/patchDetail.do?BC=patch.breadcrumb.main|patch.breadcrumb.search|&patchid=PF_CHAW4350&context=firmware:cpu
I have fixed this problems many times with the GSP firmware upgrade.
Cheers,
Mohan.

Re: Help me to see this error message
As the guide says:
To update the firmware on the GSP, perform the following steps:
FTP the files to a system with the core I/O lan on the same subnet as the
GSP
FTP the firmware files to a system accessible from the GSP
to be updated.
1. Access the GSP using the ctrl+b command from the local
console keyboard.
2. Ping the LAN where the GSP files are located via the XD
command item #3 (LAN access PING)
XD
XD
Non destructive tests :
1. Parameters checksum
2. I2C access (get Power Monitor status)
3. LAN access (PING)
4. Modem selftests
Type R to reset the GSP or Q to quit the diagnostic menu.
Choice: 3
Enter IP Address: Enter the IP address of the system where
the firmware files are located.
This test must pass on the server being used to supply the
firmware files.
I input the server's ip address in choice 3,then I am failed on this test. So I want to know which the ip address I need to input?

Re: Help me to see this error message
You need to keep the files in another server and provide that IP address during your firmware update.
Alternately you can use your PC connected directly to the LAN console to perform this upgrade. You need to have a ftp server running in your PC for this.
If you are using another server then you should check if ping works between that server and your server's LAN console.
If you are using a PC you can connect through a cross cable.
Let me know how you go.
Cheers,
Mohan.
