Help on setting Lan for DHCP
I finally got the Windows OS working to some point on the Integrity VM
bash-3.2# hpvmstatus
[Virtual Machines]
Virtual Machine Name VM # OS Type State #VCPUs #Devs #Nets Memory Runsysid
==================== ===== ======= ========= ====== ===== ===== ======= ========
windowsR2 25 WINDOWS On (OS) 1 2 1 1 GB 0
bash-3.2# hpvmnet
Name Number State Mode NamePPA MAC Address IP Address
======== ====== ======= ========= ======== ============== ===============
localnet 1 Up Shared N/A N/A
switch1 2 Up Shared N/A N/A
bash-3.2#
--------------------------------------------
SAC>i
Net: 2, Ip=169.254.10.8 Subnet=255.255.0.0 Gateway=169.254.10.8
--------------------------------------------
Is there a way to change the IP assigned to the VM hosts,
All I was trying to bridge vm nic to use the lan's DHCP...
In other words can the VM be made to work with the DHCP from the local Lan and how ?
Some pointers would be helpful

Re: Help on setting Lan for DHCP
Shalom,
DHCP should work in the vm guest.
A common problem is network routers limit the number of MAC addresses permitted on a network segment. This needs to be confirmed with your networking department.
