Help UNCLAIMED FC HBAS after cable disconnect
Using ioscan I could see all HBAs were claimed by the OS.
The lab engineer removed the fibre channel cable and rebooted the system. Since, all fibre channel HBAs are reported as unclaimed. Despite return the system to the original configuration, the OS refuses to CLAIM the HBAs.
Any idea on how to fix this ? I've never seen this before.
cheers..

Re: Help UNCLAIMED FC HBAS after cable disconnect
# swlist
UNCLAIMED normally means no driver, as you surely know.
Hope this helps!

Torsten.

Re: Help UNCLAIMED FC HBAS after cable disconnect
The start up script creates the dev nodes as a result of scanning the state of the ioscan -kFd fcd. All "CLAIMED" fcds have devnodes created.
So, what ever is going wrong occurs when the fcd driver is loading.
cheers...
