High Load Average with High Idle%
Hi,
I've a server mainly running Java and I permanently have a High Run Queue with processors with high IDLE%.
Another strange thing is that the load is not balanced between the CPUs
Attached find the TOP :)
Any ideias?
Thks

Re: High Load Average with High Idle%
I am not sure, but this may be due to high (disk, network...) I/O.
You should investigate the problem by using some performance tools (like GlancePlus).

Re: High Load Average with High Idle%
You may want to look at uptime -lw. Load Averages don't mean much and high is relative. The unbalance could be due to the OS not wanting to switch processors and force reloading of cache.
