Re: Host not reachable
What is the IP of the machine you're working on?
What is the IP of the default gateway?
What's your subnet mask?
What is the IP of other machines you can get to?

Re: Host not reachable
Would you please post the route command you are using? It should be something like:
route add net default IP_addr_of_router 1

Re: Host not reachable
Take a look at the thread below,
http://docs.hp.com/cgi-bin/fsearch/framedisplay?top=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90147/B2355-90147_top.html&con=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90147/00/00/10-con.html&toc=/hpux/onlinedocs/B2355-90147/00/00/10-toc.html&searchterms=host%7cnot%7creachable&queryid=20011129-134648
Hope this helps.

Re: Host not reachable
Did you try a traceroute?
Can you access a webconsole to check the server? What does the syslog say?

Re: Host not reachable
Could you also look into nsswitch.conf file?

Re: Host not reachable
This can be because of subnetmask.
Can you give the ip addresses and route command you using. Check current routing table with #netstat -rnv
Thanks.
Prashant.
