How can I get HP-UX to read my JOLIET CD and keep the long filenames??
Hi,
I have a CD that was burned off using Easy CD Creator using the JOLIET CD format. When I open it on either my Windows or OpenBSD boxes it can read the files fine.
But when I try it in my HP-UX 11 box it truncates the files down to 8.3 size.
Is there a way to mount or pfs_mount the cdrom drive so that it will use the JOLIET cd format?
and keep the long filenames?
I'm assuming there is. (I just don't know how)
Thanks.
Trent.

Hello,
try to use pfs mount.
Make sure that you start the pfs_mountd and pfsd first. There are plenty of docs on pfs on the ITRC.
Check too if you might have to install a patch for PFS...it is a non critical patch install which doesn't require a reboot
