How configure a 712 with 2 lan cards how router ?

I have a 712 workstation with 2 lan cards and I want to configure it how a router.
Can anyone share how to do this?

I believe all you need to do is to assign IP addresses to both network cards using IP addresses on the different networks. e.g. LAN0 has IP address 172.100.100.1 and LAN1 has IP address of 192.100.100.1. This would then enable this 712 machine to route IP traffic between the 172.100 and 192.100 networks. You will also need to modify all your clients default gateway to point to the correct respective IP address .

We do this and is quite simple, the cards just have to be on different lan segments.

Also make the default gateway for the machine the one that you want the most traffic on.

We have a fast ethernet network and a regular ethernet network. The fast is for production work, the other is for support, file transfer, etc.
