How do i get the Num Pad to work in a normal UNIX session?
On some of our systems when logged in (using putty) if a number is pressed from the num pad side of the keyboard a number will appear on other systems nothing happens or random characters will appear!
What can i set to allow the num pad to work all the time on all the systems we log into.
My putty seetings are the same for each window i open, so I cant imagine its that.
Is there something that i shld be setting in the .profile .login or . files anywhere?
Thanks for any advice.

Re: How do i get the Num Pad to work in a normal UNIX session?
Hi Lisa,
is this happening on the console ?
If so, have you looked at the itemap command under UNIX.
Use "man itemap" for further info.
You may have the wrong console keyboard mapping. Try HIL
