Is there a command in HP-UX that lets me match a socket to a process,
such that when I do a netstat, I can then trace which deamon has bound to which port ?

Hi,
with lsof you can see which process has what opened (including sockets)
You can get it here:
http://hpux.cs.utah.edu/hppd/hpux/Sysadmin/lsof-4.48/

Get a use lsof. This is not an HP supported app but works well and can give the information you are seeking and more.
