Re: how finish ip NAT on hp-ux
Hi,
It is not possible to NAT in HP-UX like you do in linux.
You can use some firewalls like checkpoint on HP-UX and configure NAT in the firewall.
regards,
U.SivaKumar

Re: how finish ip NAT on hp-ux
Hi
NAT is indeed not an integral part of HP-UX however 3rd party software like firewall could do such things , as most firewalls are 3rd party product you should check to see if any of these can do such thing but if I'm not mistaking RAPTOR firewall and FIREWALL 1 are both capable of doing it , these 2 firewalls I know HP has at one time delivered and supported them , I think they still do for firewall 1 .. further there are new products from HP , IPSEC is one of them , I might be mistaking but I think theat IPSEC contains a NAT module , the product is some form of limited firewall/access server (i have heard however the NAt function is 100 Ok yet si I cannot advise it)
there is no problem installing afirewall product on HP-UX, most are eityher directly available for HP or are delivered with code that can be compiled for hp-ux so you should not have to much trouble finding anything
for more information on ipsec and firewall one i refer to
http://docs.hp.com
website which contain documentation , white papers and installation information on HP supported products
hope this helps

Re: how finish ip NAT on hp-ux
Hi,
I have not checked - but shouldn't that be part of "IPFilter/9000"?
As that is a direct port of IPFilter ffrom Linux to HP-UX...
FWIW,
Wodisch
