SolutionOn my Lclass with an 18GB root disk with around 3.5GB of data it took me around 40 minutes for the make_tape_recovery to create the archive
It should take the same time for you too.
With best wishes.

Re: How Long Does It Take to Make Tape Recovery
On an L Class with Ultrium, less than 20 minutes.
Same Tape drive on a D or K, longer because the system can't use the device at full speed.
With DDS3, over an 2 hours in practice on my D Class boxes with 8 GB set to root.

Re: How Long Does It Take to Make Tape Recovery
One last question (forget to ask):
How long does it take to recover from bootable tape? (K260, 2CPUs, DDS3 tape drive).
