how single node cluster
I would like to configure a single node cluster on my Hp-ux box with Mc service guard.
The reason to create single node cluster is that, we need to test the package in cluster environment. If it is successful, the second node will added in future.
Anyone can give me some ideas, how to create a single node cluster.
If you can the steps.. it would be great!!!
Thanks in advance
Rajendra

Re: how single node cluster
just follow the normal steps for creating a cluster, except you only supply one node and the package will only have that node to run on.
All in the manuals at http://docs.hp.com/en/ha

Re: how single node cluster
Creating a cluster and package is not a 2 or 3-step operation.
You must prepare shared disk storage using LVM or VxVM, and create mount points for the application data. It would also be good if you could install and configure the application to run properly before attempting to get Serviceguard to automate it.
If you decide to go to a 2-node cluster, you will also have to implement an arbitration device; either a quorum server or lock disk/LUN.
After all of this is in place, use the Managing Serviceguard manual to create the cluster and package:
http://docs.hp.com/en/B3936-90100/index.html
