How to auto backup network device config?

We have many kinds of network devices. We have to backup their config automatically. Do you know which free software can do this?

What are those devices??
For HP-UX network cards, you can back up /etc/rc.config.d/netconf, /etc/rc.config.d/nddconf and respective driver file in /etc/rc.config.d
There is no substitute to HARDWORK

Sorry, the network devices are routers, switch, and firewall.
