How to change INDEX file location?

I'd like the INDEX file under some path I define, instead of using /var/opt/ignite. The effect should be that once I invoke ignite, the custom defined INDEX file will be referred.

I haven't tried it, but I would think a symbolic (ln -s) link would work.

Re: How to change INDEX file location?

A symbolic link is probably your only chance.

If that doesn't work, you will need to maintain two copies of the INDEX file.

When you want to switch, you'll copy the alternate INDEX file into the default location.
