Hi,
I would like to change the minor number of the group and lvols in one vg. Is it possible do that without dismount lvoles??
I want to change 0x03000x by 0x06000x

Hi Carmen,
No, you'll have to unmount the filesystems associated with the lvols to change the minor number. Any process using one of those filesystems will have the lvol open.
You'll have to do a vgexport (and create a map file), and then recreate the volume group directory, the group file with the new minor number, and do a vgimport.

If it can be done, it probably requires OnlineJFS.
I would not even try it though. If these logical volumes are important enough that you want to keep them up most of the time, then why mess with them.
It is probably a better idea to back up, rebuild, restore during a maintenance window.
