How to change the graphic display
Hi,
I am trying to lower my monitor frequency from 75Hz to 60Hz. I use setmon -r to display the available choices and it only gives me the following results:
The HPA4982B graphics device supports the following monitor entries.
Entry Width Height Hz Font Description
----- ----- ------ --- ----- --------------------
1 1280 1024 75 10x20 VESA
2 1024 768 75 8x16 VESA
-> 3 1600 1200 75 10x20 VESA
4 1600 1024 76 10x20
The current monitor selection is entry 3.
I want to keep the same resolution, is there anyway to change the vertical frequency from 75Hz to 60Hz? I try to use "sam" and still couldn't find a way to do it.
Thanks in advance.

Re: How to change the graphic display
Dennis,
I think if it is not on the list you can't select it.

and from the workstation forum:

Re: How to change the graphic display
Hi Dennis,
add a line to the /etc/X11/XF86Config with you cobfig.
copy the line with you 75Hz conf, and change it to 60 Hz.
Regards,
Robert-Jan
