How to check if disk DMA is enabled?



In PC hardware DMA for disk access is vitally important. In the HP side is there any way to prove DMA has been enabled?

Philip,
- PC hardware model?
- disk model?
- bios/pdc version?
- OS installed?
I remember there can be items in PC setup to choose IDE drive operating mode

Perhaps I didn't state it clearly. My question is indeed referring to how to confirm disk DMA access in "HPUX".

Reason I asked is because I seem in our L1000 server its CPU rise up quite significantly during disk access. So I wonder if the server is using its CPU (which I don't want) for this.
