My advice would be to get an Ignite backup of the system, and use Ignite to migrate the system from physical image to the VM.

That is the tool HP supports.

How to take an Ignite backup of an entire system [As I said I only know how to create an Ignite server and install the clients from it].. I have never taken an Ignite backup in rality...
