How to create ftp access in non-nis unix machine
Hello Champions,
I want to access ftp from one HP-UNIX Machine,which is not connected in NIS
The history of machine is given below,
HP-UX hpcvl072 B.10.20 A 9000/735 2003493895 two-user license
I created ftp named user in /etc/passwd and created ftp named directory in /home
Ownership of ftp : root:sys
Permission : 755
I created pub,dist,etc as ownership of ftp : other under /home/ftp.
But i am unable list or dir when i try to ftp.
Give me solution..

Hi,
you need the "ls" command from /sbin/ls in your ftp-directory. It's tricky to set the right rights. So use SAM to set-up Anonymous FTP.
If you wan't to offer FTP-Service for the outside world don't use the HP-ftpd. Think about wu-ftpd.
