how to create user (login Id as Numerical only)

hi,
when try ti create user login it giving "error is login name field is invalid ", because of login id i entered numericall only, inthis case what should do, should edit some file to relax the name policy

simply i would like to create user or login id as 111111

You can't. It's by design.

If you had bothered to do a "man 4 passwd" you would have found this:

"The login name must begin with an alpha character and may contain only alphanumeric and underscore characters."

This applies to all systems, Trusted or Untrusted --- and indeed, to all flavors of UNIX as it has for decades.

If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

Maybe you had work with System V system but in hp-ux you just canâ t do that, and You canâ t change that. Why you really need that?
