How to exit out of VxWorks?

An HP person I was told worked at the GSP of our SuperDome via the serial connection. WHen I logged in this morning the prompt wast "->" and I could not CTRL-B to the MP/GSP prompt. I typed help and gave me a couple of commands none of which is exit or logout. A "version" command yields the following - I suppose th tool runing is called VxWorks. How do I exit out of this tool?

-> version
VxWorks (for ARM PID - ARM7TDMI (ARM)) version 5.4.
Kernel: WIND version 2.5.
Made on May 20 2004, 15:45:00.
Boot line:
ln(0,0)host:/tor/target/config/pid7t/vxWorks h=15.11.130.190 e=192.168.0.1 u=target tn=targetname

Re: How to exit out of VxWorks?

No good Pete. I've tried all possible exit commands that I've ever encountered.

A search on Google points to it being a ninterface to some embedded controllers. SO it's probably an embedded controller OS or something.

What I only know know is that someone from HP upgraded the firmware on our SCSI disks that are plugged in to DS2100s/DS21120s that we use as boot subsystem on our SuperDOme nPars.

Re: How to exit out of VxWorks?

Hi Nelson,

How about

Esc
Break
Del
End
Ctrl-Alt combos like Del & End

I think this is a Windows-derived kernel & it's probably looking for a PC style key or key combo.

:-)

VxWorks is a realtime OS from Wind River.

(OK, you can read that as 'win-driver' ;-)
