How to format stm logs?

Hi,

I want to know how to format stm logs?.
e.g. /var/stm/logs/os/log1.raw.cur

We are running on HP-UX 10.20 and stm version is A.10.00.

Thanks in advance.

Regards,
Satish.

Re: How to format stm logs?

Use logtool to format the logs.

**as root run mstm -> tools -> utility -> run, select logtool

Here's a tutorial for it;

Re: How to format stm logs?

I am using stm version A.10.00 and i think which doesn't support logtool utility. Is there any other way?...

Cheers...

Re: How to format stm logs?

Go to "www.software.hp.com" and get the latest Support Tools Manager".
It's for free but requires rebooting in HP-UX 10.20.
I don't think that logtool utility is not provided in A.10.00.

Just type a couple of things at the prompt to see if logtool utility is.
# cstm
cstm> ru logtool
Logtool Utility> sr filename

Best regards,

Re: How to format stm logs?

I checked out release notes for that version of STM. Logtool was listed under utilities. I'm not familiar with that version of STM so I can't say for certain how to pull it up. Did you try finding it with mstm?

Release notes are here at docs.hp.com;
