How to install 1000Mb Ethernet Card

Hi I have inserted a Broadcom BCM5201 Gigabit Ethernet Card into an RP5430 Server running UX11.11 at H/W Address 0/8/0/0. However, from ioscan -fnC the card is showing UNCLAIMED/UNKNOWN as shown below. How do I get the card installed properly. I have run insf -Clan, but still the same. Appreciate any help on this. Thanks.

looks like you need to install the driver.. The Hardware is visable.

I've searched all search engines I know and can't find any hp-ux + 5201 drivers. You should send an email to Broadcom support. (their site is difficult to navigate, but in Enterprise Networking I could not locate the card)

You need to install the appropriate driver for it to be visible in ioscan. It will be on the apps CD's, but Im unfamiliar with a Broadcom Gigabit card. We use HP Gibabit cards and the driver is;

GigEther-00 B.11.11.14 PCI/HSC GigEther;Supptd HW=A4926A/A4929A/A4924A/A4925A;SW=J1642AA

Try this one first, or else whomever sold you the card should be able to tell you which driver to use.

This is an unsupprted card, and for htis reason hte drivers do not recognize it.
I suggest you go back to the suppliers and ask for hteir assistance in getting it working.
