How to let the system do not log some users login?

Hi,

we have some cron ftp jobs, like ftp usres, which run every 5 minitues, so the
/var/adm/wtmp file is very bigger, I wonder whether we can do some
configuration, do not let the system to log such kind users' login info, so the
/var/adm/wtmp file does not become bigger so fast. Could you tell me how to do
it?

Hi,

From my experience the only way to mantian wtmp is to reset it to zero
periodically to prevent it from becoming too large. second suggetion is if you
have enough disk space and you need the information copy it.
