How to make a recovery tape to disk?

Can we do make tape recovery on hdd.

You cannot.  However there are other options.  

  - If you are running 11.23 or 11.31 you can use DRD to clone your existing boot disk.

  - If you have MirrorDisk/UX you can mirror your boot disk.   If not there are other ways to duplicate the boot disk.

  - You can use another server to create  an Ignite server and then use make_net_recovery.

The first and third options are probably the most versatile as you can use those to redeploy the OS to other hosts.
