how to monitor hdd, ram, lan, hardware, lvm error and send sms to admin
Hi,
We have HP-UX system rx5670 running HP-UX 11.23 trusted system and oracle 9i database.
We want to monitor hardware critical alarm, hdd, ram, lan, lvm error, file system error, and send sms to administrator.
Could any one help, how we can do this by using syslog.log or other log message?

Re: how to monitor hdd, ram, lan, hardware, lvm error and send sms to admin
Hi Khairul
Open view manager is the best one to do this.
But in Application Manager you can monitor hdd, ram, CPU to monitor and cans end sms or email to administrator.
go to www.appmanager.com
for syslog you can use syslog-ng to monitor.

Hi Ahsan,
Thanks for your reply. We are using app manager for monitoring the system.
But want to know how we can send sms or mail to administrator by scaning syslog or other log file?
Thanks
Khairul

for syslog log events, you can use syslog-ng with php-syslog-ng, you can view the syslog events.
