How to restore the data using frecover

Filesystem corrupted on /dba and I would like to restore the /dba from the fullbackup tape.
What are the options with frecover I can use?
I have replaced the new disk.Is it necessary to restore the LVM header to the new disk by using vgcfgrestore before restoring the /dba from tape.
Can anyone of you help me.

You are not nearly ready to run frecover. Frecover does file restores not raw volumes.

You need to first rebuild the volume group then create filesystems and mount them and finally do the frecover.

Follow the steps in the paper:

then run frecover.
If it ain't broke, I can fix that.

We have restored the data from tape.
